Harvey A. Dorren, President and CEO, has 30 years experience in the High
Technology industry. Beginning his career with I.B.M, Mr. Dorren’s experience includes established
multimillion dollar corporations as well as start-ups. He has held executive positions from Sales
& Marketing to President/CEO. Mr. Dorren’s expertise spans the electronics, semiconductor,
military, and trucking and diesel industries. He holds a B.S. in Operations Management and
Marketing from Boston College.
Jeffrey D. Scott, Chief Technology Officer and Founding Director, is the chief
refinery designer. Mr. Scott spent the last three years designing and engineering the GBI refinery,
incorporating R&D from National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) and The Colorado Center for
Biorefining and Biofuels (C2B2), a research center of the Colorado Renewable Energy Collaboratory.
His past ventures include CA Solar, where he designed a wind turbine/PV energy system, a biogas
plant and water catchment systems. His expertise is in concentrated thermal hot water systems. Mr.
Scott has four patents pending in the design of GBI’s refinery.
Rita Prangle, Chief Financial Officer, has extensive experience in accounting and
finance having served as Controller and V.P. Finance for several successful internet start-ups. She
has been an independent financial management consultant, has a broad-based background in financial
analysis and business planning, is a Certified Public Accountant and holds an MBA from Keller
Graduate School of Management.
Genesis Biofuel is a sponsoring member of C2B2, a research center of the Colorado Renewable Energy
Collaboratory. Partner institutions include National Renewable Energy Laboratory, University of
Colorado, Colorado State University and Colorado School of Mines.
